Job description
Machine Operators will cut door and window holes in panels through the operation of a CNC machine. May set up, operate, or tend woodworking machines, such as drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, and wood nailing machines. Adjust machine tables or cutting devices and set controls on machines to produce specified cuts or operations. Push or hold workpieces against, under, or through cutting, boring, or shaping mechanisms. Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together, or to press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces. Workers will also drill, cut, or position timber, lumber, or other materials. Examine finished workpieces for smoothness, shape, angle, and conformity to specifications and verify dimensions. Workers will then assist in loading finished products, through the operation of a forklift, onto trucks for transportation. Clean or maintain products, machines, and work areas. Grease or oil woodworking machines.
Special Requirements
Three months of wood working, machine operation or related experience required. Must be able to lift seventy-five (75) lbs. frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to pass pre-employment, post-accident, and other random drug testing. Hours and shifts are flexible - workers may be required to work night shifts.
