Shovel and plow snow, grounds maintenance, such as litter cleanup and winterization of irrigation systems, and other duties as assigned related to facilities and roads maintenance, such as clearing roads and facilities of leaves, snow, or debris. Potential for fall and spring grounds clean-up, including raking, mulching, and composting of leaves, removal of dead plant material, perennial plant cutbacks, landscape bed mulching, and dormant pruning from the ground level. Operate a snow blower. De-icing and removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties, using hand tools such as snow brooms, shovels, and spreading de-icing solutions, including calcium chloride or rock salt by hand. May also use walk behind electric or gas snow blowers, as needed. May drive crew vehicle. No driver’s license is required as a condition of employment for the position. If the prospective worker already possesses a standard, noncommercial driver’s license they may be asked to drive a vehicle to jobsites, as needed.

Special Requirements

Must lift/carry up to 75 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Must be able to perform manual, physical labor outside during all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
