Job description
As landscape technicians, workers will perform lawn care maintenance by pruning and trimming trees, shrubs, and/or hedges, planting trees, foliage, and bushes, and maintaining appearance of the lawn by mowing and edging. Workers will manage tree and shrub care and maintain flower beds, and also perform landscape installation activities including installing floral beds and preparing existing areas of foliage and landscaping materials. Workers will use garden tools, hand tools, and lawn mowing equipment such as mowers, tractor, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws to perform the above job duties. Workers will also perform winter cutbacks on perennials and plants in order to properly prepare lawn or landscape for winter weather and new growth in the Spring. Workers are responsible for maintaining irrigation systems for flower beds, including winterizing the systems before temperatures drop below freezing to prevent damage.
Special Requirements
Workers must have 3 months of landscape maintenance or related experience. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day. Workers must be able to stand, walk, and bend for 8 hours a day.
