Job title: 5 Carpool/ CalVan Drivers and Field Workers
Workers Needed:
a. Total: 6
b. H-2A: 5
The Employer seeks certification for 5 workers. Total workers: 6. Of the 5 total workers, 1 will be domestic worker who does not require housing.

Job Duties - Description of the specific services or labor to be performed:

Agricultural produce: Spinach, tender leaf, leaf lettuce, arugula, and spring mix lettuce.

Carpool/CalVan Driver Specifications:
Employee may drive passenger vehicle over the road.
Employee will drive designated vehicles to transport workers to and from housing and worksite locations.
Driving job duty is not a different job and the drivers perform harvesting and irrigation job duties when not driving.
Employee will be responsible for filling vehicle with gasoline and keeping vehicle clean.
Employee will be required to complete and process periodic driving reports as required by state laws.
Employee will be required to follow all traffic laws and vanpool rules.
In order to drive, employee must possess a valid drivers’ license (state issued) or equivalent and must be able to pass Class B Physical exam and register as an FLCE driver.
The employer will be responsible for the cost of the registration as an FLCE driver (if any).

Carpool/Calvan drivers may be H-2A or corresponding domestic workers. The employer assures that employees who drive the Carpool/Calvans are compensated for their time driving. Drivers perform MSPA and related paperwork (i.e., logging) as required by law which they are compensated for. The Carpool/CalVan driving job duty is not a different job and when not driving, they will be performing irrigation job duties. Drivers pick up workers from the housing sites/pick up points and drop them off at the worksite. At the end of the workday, the driver takes the workers back to the housing sites/pick up points. Drivers are also responsible, during the workday, for filling the vehicle with gasoline and keeping it clean. The employer assures that drivers are paid the AEWR for actual driving time and to the extent applicable, processing paperwork, trips to the gas station, and cleaning the vehicle.

Special Requirements

1 month of experience harvesting spinach, tender leaf, leaf lettuce, arugula, or spring mix lettuce, sprinkler work or sanitation work.

In order to drive Carpool Van, employee must possess a valid drivers license (state issued) or its equivalent and must be able to pass Class B Physical exam and register as an FLCE driver.

Employee, with proper licensing (i.e., class D non-commercial driver`s license in Arizona and Class C non-commercial driver`s license in California) and accepted driving record may drive the farm sanitation truck in the field (well under 26,001 pounds and has no capacity to carry farm crops.) Required basic knowledge of driving a tractor, forklift and harvesting machines, must pass a tractor, forklift and machine safety training and demonstrate ability to operate the equipment in a safe manner.
