Job description
Cleans guest room and bathroom to include, but not limited to, bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using proper procedures and chemicals per hotel standards. Change linen and make beds in accordance with hotel procedures. Dusts all guest room surfaces to include, but not limited to, furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves. Vacuums guest room carpets in accordance with hotel procedures. Removes trash and replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms per hotel procedures. Cleans all windows inside and out. Greets guests immediately with friendly, sincere acknowledgement. Reports all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders. Telephone deficiencies considered emergencies (i.e. overflowing toilets or broken pipes in bathrooms, lights out in bathroom, closets, or corridors, broken mirror or window) to the maintenance department. Signs for room keys. Retrieves cart, push to assigned rooms, and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room. Cleans balconies, if applicable. Other duties as assigned. Cleans and/or mops lobbies, public restrooms, guest floors, offices, front drive sidewalk, service landing, elevators, and stairways. Reports needed repairs of both equipment and physical areas to the Assistant Director. Reports all lost and found items to security or lost and found coordinator. Cooperates with other departments to permit them to operate smoothly to provide the highest guest satisfaction. Observes and complies with all house and departmental rules. Answers and complies with any calls received from housekeeping for guest requests. To make timely walk through of the lobby area in order to keep areas in a high order of cleanliness. Assist restaurant outlets with cleaning dishes.
Special Requirements
Must have High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent. Must be able to push cleaning car and lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug test. Must be able to pass random drug tests and upon suspicion. Employer handles drug testing at no cost to the worker. Varied shifts available between 6:00AM through 6:00AM.
