As a laborer, workers will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Workers will utilize mixtures of cement and sand to mix concrete in order to create mortar which will be applied and poured where necessary. Workers will be required to use a mortar trowel to perform such tasks. Workers will mix grout with a margin trowel and utilize grout floats to pick up grout. Workers will also apply mixed grout to tiled surfaces and clean off any excess grout using the grout float. Workers will mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces. Workers will also clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble. Workers may operate hand and power tools, such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, surveying and measuring equipment (tape measure), and shovels.

Workers will also clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, surveying and measuring equipment (tape measure), shovels, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to read a tape measure. Must be able to pass random post-employment, employer-paid drug tests.
