Job description
Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Assist foreman with installing sewer, water, or storm drainpipes, using hand and power tools such as pipe-laying machinery or laser guidance equipment. Dig ditches or trenches using picks, shovels, and hoes. Perform some digging by hand, cutting, and gluing pipe, covering up water lines, clean equipment, and tools such as shovels and hoes. Worker will need to operate small equipment such as skid loader or excavator. Workers will be required to clean and maintain any tools used throughout the day. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers. Workers will work with concrete minimally and will use tools such as a rake or shovel to smooth over freshly poured concrete.
Special Requirements
Workers must possess at least three (3) months of construction experience. Workers must be able to pass a pre-employment and post-accident drug test. Workers must be able to read job prints.
