Job description
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals.
Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries.
Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides.
Maintaining winter animal treatment areas.
Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining, and repair of equipment, various workshop tasks as well as maintenance of grain bins, general buildings, and fences.
Use of various farm and cattle-specific farming equipment.
Special Requirements
A minimum of three (3) months verifiable experience with no minimum education is required. Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive. Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs. Most work is performed outdoors and the North Dakota severe winter weather, will expose workers to extreme cold temperatures and severe conditions like blizzards and snow.
Workers to obtain drivers license within 30 days after employment.
Employer has a non-smoking policy on the farm.
