Job description
Responsible for the day to day cleaning of all areas of the facility during the night shift. This includes cleaning surfaces, disposing of trash, disinfecting equipment, laundering the linen and stocking and maintaining the housekeeping supply closets. Maintain general cleanliness of all areas assigned. Including, but not limited to: “Dry” tasks: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, replacing paper towels, toilet paper, etc.; “Wet” tasks: disinfecting equipment, beds, and gurneys; mopping; cleaning porcelain fixtures (sinks, toilets, etc.); cleaning glass windows, doors, and mirrors; Stocking clean linen supply carts and collecting dirty linen; Stocking housekeeping closets and maintaining them in a clean and orderly fashion. Maintain all housekeeping equipment and supplies in proper condition, taking care to prevent damage. Reports any malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
Special Requirements
Demonstrated basic computer skills. Ability to utilize basic cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.). Must be able to understand oral instructions and requests given in English, as well as understand written English instructions.
