Nursery Workers/laborers

Job description

This is an application for nursery crops. Job duties include:
Digging – Workers follow behind digger shaking mud off the trees and loading them into a trailer being pulled by a tractor
Grading/Sorting – Checking the quality and the size of the trees and sorting them
Tying – Tying Bundles of trees to be stored/prepared for shipping
Storing – Storing bundles of trees in coolers or sawdust
Pulling Stakes – When is too wet for digging, workers pull stakes out of the ground
Hand Ties – Another activity that is done out in the fields when it’s too wet for digging, hand tying the trees to the stakes
Workers may drive company vehicles to transport crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers if the workers have a valid driver’s license from either a state in the U.S. or their native country.

The Employer attests that all workers will be properly trained in the Worker Protections Standard (WPS) by qualified WPS trainers who have completed an EPA-approved Train-the-Trainer course pursuant to the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

Special Requirements

B.2) Worker must possess 3 months of nursery experience.
