Job description
Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, and herding; operating tractors, front loaders, mowers, balers, and trucks with gooseneck cattle trailers connected; conducting the repair and maintenance of farm equipment and fencing. The job will require workers to do the following tasks: feed cows daily, check cows daily, assist with vet visits, assist with medication administration, plant grass, till pasture, and clean sheep pens. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on livestock, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Basic literacy and math skills along with 3 months of experience will be required. Applicant must have a valid driver's license. Job will require workers to lift 50 lbs. Repetitive movements in the form of lifting feed, hay, fencing supplies, and seed will be required. No cell phone use will be allowed while working. Random criminal
background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may
be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers.
