Job description
Perform duties like: Moving cattle home from summer pastures, vaccinate and P.G. cattle, wean calves from cows, feeding hay-silage to cattle, maintain feed equipment, welding maintenance, inspect livestock for illness/injuries, repair winter fences, open frozen water tanks, bucket feed water, snow removal, sort calves and load calves to go to market, prep barns and cattle for calving, calving (March to mid-May), clean barns and pens, prep hay equipment, fix fence in summer pastures, haul cattle to summer pastures. May need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
