Job description

Responsible for serving food and beverage items to customers and guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
Know about coffee/tea service, beverage lists, promotions, all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
Take food and beverage orders from the members on handheld or order-taking pads, point of sale (POS) system, and assist with food delivery if needed.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Experienced working in a customer-facing role. Able to easily converse with guests.
Run food and drink orders for their tables and for other staff members.
Able to multitask without getting flustered.
Able to respond well under pressure.
Able to respond to change quickly.
Comfortable memorizing orders and menus.
Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
Willing and able to be on their feet for 8+ hours.
Sell menu specials or limited time offers.

Special Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing and moving for an extended period. This position requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The work may need occasional carrying/lifting to 50 pounds, weighing up to 20 pounds, and pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds unassisted, frequently reaching overhead. Arm strength and coordination must be sufficient to carry plates of food, glasses, and bottles and serve from large trays.

Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m. - 3 p.m., 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and business level. Must be able to work all shifts. The business is open seven days per week, and weekend and holiday work will be required.
