Job description
Stacking, moving, loading, off-loading of hay and alfalfa.
Inspect underground irrigation pipelines for leaks and replace pipes should leaks be detected.
Existing irrigation wheel lines and sprinklers to be repaired and parts replaced.
Use different machinery for hay and alfalfa seeding and harvesting - tractors, balers, mowers, harrowed and squeeze machine.
Repair and replace wire fencing - digging of fenceposts using a manually operated auger machine.
General maintenance of farm yard and buildings.
Shovel snow when required to access farm roads.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months verifiable experience. No minimum education required.
Worker to obtain drivers license within 30 days of hire.
Work is done outdoors for long periods of time and requires prolonged periods of standing and/or walking, repetitive movements, and pushing and pulling. Most job duties will require physical labor and worker will be required to lift equipment and haybales that might weigh up to 80lbs.
As work is mostly done outdoors, worker will be exposed to cold and frosty temperatures.
