Job description

S.P. HARVESTER CORP. (45) Temporary Agricultural Workers for Valdosta (Lowndes County) in state of Georgia, of November 05/2023 to December 20/2023, (Planting and Harvesting Collards greens, Cabbage, Broccoli); Plant and Harvest by hand Collards greens, Broccoli, and Cabbage; Plant, Harvesting, weeds, prune, care, cleaning, clear up rows where plantings are, Maintenance, packing, and equipment operations in farm. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job is outdoor and continues in all types of weather. Able to lift and carry 50 pounds repetitively throughout the workday. Requires 1 months of verifiable work experience in manual Planting and harvesting. $13.67 per Hour, 35 hours a week. 1st week warranty. It should not hinder the productivity of another worker. The use or possession or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during working time is prohibited. Worker may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol testing at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Housing provided at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return own residency daily. The tools are provided by the employer at no cost. 3/4 scheduled working hours guaranteed. Transportation/Daily provided at no cost to workers. Transport/subsistence reimbursed for the costs incurred by reporting to the workplace if the worker completes half the period of employment. Return Transportation Refunded if the worker terminates the contract. The employer understands that the Fair Labor Standards Act applies independently of the H-2A requirements and imposes. obligations on employers regarding payment of wages. 20 CFR 655.122(h)(1). In the event a female worker is hired, employer will provide separate sleeping, bathing, and toilet facilities for male and female workers. Must be 18 years old. "Go to your nearest Career Center."
