Snow Removal Laborer

Shovel and plow snow from walks, driveways and parking lots and spread salt in those areas. Clean up dripping snow and refreeze areas. Perform grounds maintenance and other duties as assigned related to facilities and roads maintenance. Potential for spring clean up including cleaning up ice melt and slush, refilling or removing customer ice melt buckets, removing snow stakes from properties, and assessing snow removal damage. Service and maintain snow removal equipment.

Please note that the employee will not be operating a vehicle with a snowplow attached. Instead, the employees will use shovels or sidewalk snow blowers.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Must be able to perform manual physical labor outside during all weather conditions.

PLEASE NOTE THAT HOURS ABOVE ARE NOT ACCURATE: ESTIMATED THIRTY-FIVE(35) HOURS PER WEEK, MONDAY TO SUNDAY WITH TWO DAYS OFF PER WEEK. SHIFT VARIES BASED ON WEATHER CONDITIONS.
