Job description

We have stocker cattle, otherwise known as yearlings that will need to be cared for from December to the end of March. Cattle will be confined for certain periods. Employees will need to care for cattle during the confinement period. Employees will need to check the water tanks, and use a pickup truck for hauling water, to make sure there is water always available, keep feed available, check to be sure there are no sick cows, and doctor when needed. When wheat pasture is ready cattle will be moved out to various locations and run on wheat pasture with hot wire fences. Employees will tend to the cattle by keeping fresh hay out, making sure they have water, mineral and in good health as well as maintaining the electric fence. We only need seasonal assistance during the very labor-intensive stocker/yearling cattle season.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and 3 months experience.
