Job description

We have cattle that need cared for through the winter months from December to the end of April. The calves will be fed in drylots and the cows will be wintered on rented corn stalks until they are moved to the dry lots to start calving. These cows are leased out over the summer months to ranches in Oklahoma and cared for by us in the winter. Duties include tending to the cattle while on cornstalks, checking waters, checking body conditions, administering medication when needed. Cattle will be checked 3 to 4 times daily during calving. Employees will assist with gathering the cattle, tagging, doctoring, birthing, and branding. These cows and calves will all be doctored as part of our vaccination program in the late fall and early spring. Employees will also be involved with general ranch duties. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer's discretion. Employer may provide bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer's discretion. Employer will deduct wages for willful negligence.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive walking, repetitive movement and exposure to outdoor extreme temperatures. Must be able to life 50 pounds and be able to acquire a drivers license within 45 days of arrival.
