Job description
Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Process newly arrived cattle. Gather sick cattle from pens or pasture. Administer vaccines, implants, medication. Load feed mixer with pay loader. Properly mix ingredients with feed mixer. Deliver mixed feed to feed bunks. Clean pens. Check cattle on pasture. Maintain cattle waterers and water tanks. Replenish salt and mineral. Break ice as needed. Build fencing and/ or maintain current fencing. Drive to town to pick up supplies for cattle. Livestock: Beef Cattle
Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
