Job description
Job duties include constant monitoring and maintenance of crop inventory and evaluation of quality of crops before sale. Quality control is crucial to the farm and their return from buyers. Employees will participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, post-harvest treatment of crops; mark agricultural products for identification; package agricultural products for further processing or to be shipped after sale. Duties also include maintenance, repairs, and management of materials, products, equipment, buildings, and farm structures in use during the winter months. The employer has 43 power units and 35 seed drying fans that require managing to ensure proper functionality. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties often and engage in general functions around this worksite. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Random criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure a safe housing and work environment for all workers.
