Job description
Duties include the following but is not limited to:
Feeding, watering, herding, catching, loading, castrating, branding, and weighing of animals.
Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries. Assisting in administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides. Assists with calving.
Inspect, maintain and repair cattle equipment, buildings, pens, yards and fences.
May maintain records on cattle.
Special Requirements
A minimum of three (3) months verifiable experience with no minimum education is required. Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive. Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 50lbs. Most work is performed outdoors and with Nebraska's severe winter weather, workers will be exposed to extreme cold temperatures and severe weather conditions like blizzards and snow. Workers to obtain drivers license within 30 days after employment.
