Job description

Workers will manually plant, hoe, weed, irrigate, clean, spray, load/unload, store/maintain grain bins and trucks as well as maintenance of grain storage facility . They will also till soil and apply fertilizers, as well as weed, thin, prune, cultivate and harvest both field and silo crops. Workers will be responsible for post harvest clean up and other related activities. Will use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, prune hooks, shears and knives; along with scooping and lifting grains while working on, around and inside grain silos; operate farm equipment. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. This is a drug, alcohol and tobacco free work zone, must be 18 years of age. Drug test will be issued upon suspicion or accident and will be post hire at the employer expense, Failure or refusal of a drug test is grounds for immediate termination. Worker must be able to lift 50lbs.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
