The specific tasks involved with “dipping live bait” includes dipping a handheld net into the live well to retrieve specific bait (shrimp, mullet fish, etc) and quantities of same to fill customer orders. The specific tasks involved with “cleaning tanks” includes culling/skimming the live bait tanks to remove dead bait and to keep the tanks clean in order to keep the bait alive. The specific tasks involved with “stocking freezer” includes putting bait in the freezer to keep prior to filling customer’s orders for frozen bait.

The specific tasks performed by licensed employees while "traveling to/from farms and/or docks to obtain seafood and to/from customers to deliver seafood/product” includes driving a company vehicle to the farms/docks and/or customers and assisting with the loading and unloading of the seafood by hand. This requires the individual to drive and/or ride along, lift crawfish sacks into the bed/box of the truck, and then unload the crawfish sacks at the worksite or customer’s location.

Job Duties may include: de-heading shrimp; grading seafood; cleaning crawfish; inspect product for defects; obtaining/distributing seafood; weigh product, prepare for sale or consumption; dipping live bait, cleaning tanks and stocking freezer.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds; May be subject to random drug screen upon hire paid for by employer and/or a drug screen paid for by employer based off of reasonable suspicions during employment. This is a drug-free work place.
