Job description
Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, and herding; operating various equipment including, but not limited to, tractors, hay grinders, front loaders, mowers, balers, and trucks with hopper trailers and gooseneck cattle trailers connected; hauling feed and livestock; working livestock; and preparing feed. Duties also include conducting the repair and maintenance of farm equipment and fencing, regularly cleaning and servicing equipment, mixing feed, lifting bags of mineral and hay bales, spraying cattle for flies and other pests, and fixing water leaks as needed. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to extensive sitting, walking, stooping, bending, or repetitive movements. Random drug testing and criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers.
