Job description

Crops: Apples, Flowers

• Harvest apples from both ladder and ground. Hand-thin apple trees. Grade, sort and pack apples. Rake out apples from under trees. Perform summer apple tree pruning and trellis training.
• Harvest flowers. Cut blooms in flower field. Weed flower field.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, knives, and wheelbarrows. Duties may include transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, and loading harvested products. May construct trellises or participate in irrigation activities.
• Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Utilize weed trimmer to cut grass and keep fencing clear of vines and branches.

Special Requirements

We require two months of recent and verifiable experience within the past two years for the job duties listed. This position requires a minimum of two months for the employee to get a full understanding of the job and responsibilities. Must be able to understand work & safety instructions in English or Spanish, the languages spoken and written in the workplace.
