Job description
Workers must be able to: Dismantle machines used on agricultural packing shed lines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure proper operation and efficiency. Install replacement parts according to production specifications. Lubricate equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning. Inspect mechanical equipment used on agricultural packing shed lines to identify damage, defects, or wear. Clean and maintain equipment, parts, and tools. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical components of equipment used in agricultural packing shed operations. Perform preventative maintenance including servicing, calibrating, regulating, and testing machinery. Maintain inventories of materials, parts, and equipment. Record maintenance and repair activities and follow all company safety procedures. Related maintenance duties may be assigned. Work is performed in an agricultural packing facility. Being on one’s feet for long time periods is required. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Frequent turning, pushing, and pulling is required. Performing general physical activities includes doing activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Dexterity to use and manipulate tools and parts is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.
Special Requirements
Workers must have 60 days verifiable experience performing machinery maintenance in an agricultural packing shed as listed in the job duties under Section A(8)(a). The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work assignments, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order.
