Landscape Laborer

Job description

Performs various golf course renovation and landscaping tasks, including preparing landscaped and playing surface areas; prepares irrigation system components, including irrigation connections and tie-ins; installs irrigation lines, wire, and sprinkler heads; spreads and lays landscaping materials such as grass seed, sod, greens mix, gravel, and sand; assists with the installation of golf course irrigation components, including irrigation piping and sprinkler connections. Workers use hand shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, tampers, and other basic hand tools to prepare landscaped areas and install related components, as needed.

WORK IS GENERALLY PERFORMED MON - FRI 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, BUT WEEKENDS AND OT MAY BE NECESSARY DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER.

Special Requirements

3 months experience utilizing basic knowledge of golf course layout; understanding of golf course irrigation systems including ability to install/repair key components; knowledge of golf course building materials and golf course construction tasks including building/repair of greens, tees, and bunkers. Willingness to perform OT, as needed.
