Job description
Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers. Workers may assist other craft workers, by preparing worksites; gathering, loading, unloading, and transporting tools, materials, and equipment; cleaning work areas; and performing manual labor tasks associated with construction projects. Workers may use common hand tools and basic power tools including shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, brooms, drills, compactors, levels, and measuring tools. Materials handled may include lumber, concrete forms, gravel, sand, cement, concrete, rebar, pipes, and other common construction materials.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift 75 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive pushing/pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping, exposure to extreme temperatures.
