Job description
Duties include sod laying, mowing, trimming/pruning trees, shrubs and plants, installation of plants, trees and shrubbery, watering plants & lawns, plant transplanting, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, outdoor lighting installation and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Workers may gather and remove litter and operate powered equipment and drive company vehicles to customer locations. All vehicles to be driven are company pick-up trucks. The Gross Vehicle Weight capacity of the vehicle to be driven in the job duties is less than 26,000 lbs. Powered equipment used will include lawn mowers, weed eaters, and trimmers. All the trimming/pruning will take place on the ground. The workers will not perform any pruning or trimming activities above ground level. The worker may transport other workers to and from job sites on occasion, however this will not be their primary job duty. Irrigation duties include installing lawn irrigation systems to water lawns, trees, or plants, gather and remove litter, digs & fills trenches with hand tools, cuts tubing to desired length using hand tools. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste. Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing systems and starting them up in spring. Workers may occasionally transport other workers to and from job sites; however, transportation of workers is not a primary job duty. Workers may also occasionally transport landscaping materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites, including mulch, potted plants, shovels, rakes, mowers, blowers, trimmers, weed eaters, small tractors, and similar landscaping equipment. No hazardous materials will be transported by workers. All vehicles and equipment operated weigh less than 26,000 pounds GVW, including any attached trailers or transported materials.
