Job description

Crops: Sweet potatoes

Harvesting of sweet potatoes: Workers will walk along rows in the field and harvest sweet potatoes by hand. Duties include bending, stooping, and kneeling to dig sweet potatoes from the soil, placing them into buckets or field containers, and carrying filled containers to a truck, trailer, or designated collection point. Workers may also sort sweet potatoes in the field by size or quality, remove damaged or diseased potatoes, and clean work areas as assigned.

Special Requirements

Workers must be able to perform repetitive field work in outdoor conditions, follow supervisor instructions, and lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Work may involve uneven ground, long periods of standing, bending, and walking.
