Job description
Take guest orders, advise kitchen personnel of items ordered, serve or deliver requested food and beverage products to resort guests; present check to guest, clear table or remove tray from guest room. Assist with the opening and closing of restaurant or food and beverage area; set-up, clean, and break down work station and tables; prepare side work. Must be 21 years old. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Minimum 35 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. Open 7 days a week. Multiple 8 hour shifts throughout each 24-hour period. Shifts: 5:00am – 1:00pm, 6:00am – 2:00pm, 7:00am-3:00pm, 8:00am-4:00pm, 9:00am-5:00pm, 10:00am-6:00pm, 11:00am-7:00pm, 12:00pm-8:00pm, 1:00pm-9:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, 11:00pm-7:00am. Hours and shifts may vary with occupancy.
Basic Wage $11.64/hr. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Pay received bi-weekly
Tipped position. Allowed tip credit applied per FLSA guidelines at $5.12. The cash wage paid will be $6.52. In locations that exceed the hourly guaranteed base rate of pay of $11.64, the employer will pay the difference and will not take a tip credit for any amount over $11.64. If in a given work week the worker's tips do not meet the hourly tip credit, the employer will compensate for the difference between what is earned and the hourly guaranteed base rate for where the work was performed. All tips received by the tipped worker are retained by the worker except for a valid tip pooling arrangement limited to workers who customarily and regularly receive tips. The tip credit will not apply unless the worker has been notified of the employer's intention to exercise the tip credit.
Banquet Servers/Setup - Service Fee position: Base Rate $11.64/hr. Cash wage paid will be $4.50-$10.00 plus a percentage share of the Service Fee to meet $11.64/hr. Allowed Service Fee credit applied per FLSA guidelines. Employer guarantees offered wage in any given work week when service fee compensation does not make hour wage equal/or exceed base rate of $11.64/hr.
Overtime: An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate. The regular rate will be computed by adding together total earnings for the workweek from all sources, excluding tips received in excess of the tip credit, then dividing that number by the total hours worked in the workweek. If the regular rate exceeds $11.64 per hour, the employer will pay the difference between $11.64 and the regular rate during an overtime week.
