Job description
To serve/deliver food and beverage products to guests at various resort outlets. Assist with opening/closing of restaurant/food and beverage area; set up/clean/tear down work station; prepare side work; prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons; take guest order, advise kitchen personnel of items ordered, server/deliver requested items and present check to guest; clear table. Must be able to move/lift 25-50 lbs.
Minimum 35 hours per week up to a possible 40 hours per week. Open 7 days a week. Multiple 8-hour shifts, with 30 minutes unpaid relief period, vary between 6:00am - 12:30am. Shift times: 6:00am - 2:30pm; 9:00am-5:30pm; 3:00pm-11:30pm; 4:00pm-12:30am. Workdays and shift times may vary with occupancy.
Tip position with guaranteed wage of $11.30/hr. (Allowed tip credit applied per FLSA guidelines to meet prevailing wage for hours worked when allowed tip credit does not make hourly wage equal to or exceeding the prevailing wage of $11.30/hr.) Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. In Alabama, an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at a rate of $16.95 per hour, depending on locality of the work performed and the base rate of pay. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Pay received bi-weekly.
Special Requirements
Post-employment criminal background check required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, weekends and holidays as required. Applicant must complete an employment application. Must be 19 years of age.
