Job description
Prep Cooks will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware; storing food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage; preparing a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, desserts, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures; taking and recording temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers; washing, peeling, and cutting various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving; placing food trays over food warmers for immediate service, or storing them in refrigerated storage cabinets; portioning and wrapping the food, or placing it directly on plates for service to patrons; weighing or measuring ingredients; mixing ingredients for green salads, molded fruit salads, vegetable salads, and pasta salads; and receiving and storing food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas.
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 7:00AM – 3:00PM, 10:00AM – 6:00PM, or 3:00PM – 11:00PM. Shift hours may vary.

Special Requirements
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least three (3) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.
