Job description

Prepare and plate food according to chef’s standards and specifications. Working from a daily prep list: prep vegetables and stocks/soups/sauces from scratch; portion meat and seafood/fish; Workers may be assigned specific places on the line such as pantry, sauté, cold or grill lines. Workers must use safe and sanitary food handling procedures. Stock and clean stations, and maintain refrigeration, freezer, and dry storage inventory. Wash dishes, utensils, silverware, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.

Special Requirements

Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Multiple shifts offered. Events occur on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, with shifts being 8 hours. Prep shifts occur on Wednesday and Thursday, normally from 9-5 unless there is an event on those days. Based on the events schedule, a shift could start as early at 7am, or run as late as 1:00pm. Post-hire background check required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
