Job description
Job duties may include but not limited to: setting up and/or dismantling amusement rides, fencing and signage manually or with hand tools, properly connecting pieces, balancing and properly spacing equipment, working with a team or individually, operating typical mechanical carnival rides, such as the merry-go-round, ferris wheel, and teapots, attending food and games concessions by selling and serving refreshments and preparing/serving mainly ready-made food items such as ice cream, caramel corn and hot dogs in food stands, some light cooking for Funnel cakes, warming pizzas, etc., tending amusement booths and conducting games, such fishbowl, water gun, and ping pong games (typical carnival games), distributing prizes, such as stuffed toys, selling and punching tickets, fastening safety harnesses and inspecting equipment for proper functioning, cleaning/sanitizing work area and customer seating areas.
Special Requirements
POST-EMPLOYMENT EMPLOYER-PAID DRUG TESTING MAY BE ADMINISTERED. MUST BE AVAILABLE AND WILLING TO TRAVEL EVERY 2-3 DAYS; WORK SCHEDULE VARIES.
Work days: TYPICALLY WED-SUN; Schedule is subject to change
Hours per week: 40
Work Schedule: 1PM-10PM; Schedule is subject to change
Special Procedures: Itinerary starts in Buffalo county. Work will be performed at various locations (see list of all counties included in itinerary for reference).
Wages and Pay Frequency:
Basic Hourly Wage: Pay varies from $11.63 - $12.76/hr depending on location
Overtime Hourly Wage: N/A - additional hours may be offered; however, employers is exempt from federal overtime pay according to Section 13(a)(3) of the FLSA. Employer will comply with any state or local overtime requirements if warranted
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Additional information about wage:
Employer may offer a raise or bonus depending on experience and merit.
Pay Assurance:
Employer will pay the highest of all prevailing wages for each worksite location throughout the entire period of employment.
