Job description
Will provide training to perform a combination of hospitality guest-service duties that includes: Greet, register, assign rooms, and issue room keys to incoming guests during check-in process. Assist with transporting luggage to guest rooms. Make, cancel, and change reservations and room changes. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment. Arrange tours, taxis, or restaurant reservations for customers. Coordinate communication between the front desk and other departments to fulfill guest needs. Inspect clean rooms in preparation for guest arrival. Coordinate hotel services such as bicycle rentals and beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas; monitor and record guest usage, returns, and lost or damaged items. Assist with basic cleanup of public guest areas, such as cleaning surfaces and picking up guest belongings or other items as needed. Use computer software to manage internal tasks and guest communications. Requires use of computers; lifting objects up to 40 lbs.; regularly standing during complete shift. 40 hours per week; 8-hours shifts, 5 days per week, during one of three shift schedules. Example shifts: 7 am to 3 pm, 3 pm to 11 pm, or 11pm to 7 am. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Days and hours assigned may vary. Overtime may be available.
