Job description

Crops: Soybeans, Corn, Sweet Corn, Peas, Green Beans

Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers' license. They will secure cargo, follow safety procedures for vehicle operations, inspect cargo to ensure it properly loaded or secured. They will review documents or materials for compliance with policies and regulations. Will operate vehicle or material moving equipment. Transport materials safely to and from various job sites. Maintenance and cleaning of truck and trailer. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the highest level of safety. Properly maintain required paperwork to comply with all regulations. May assist with loading and unloading of trailer. Basic maintenance of equipment, greasing, checking tire pressure, or changing a tire. Basic maintenance of equipment like trailers, farm equipment, tractors.

Multiple 10 hour shifts available are available throughout the day. All workers, depending on shift start time, will make it back to the housing within 24 hours.

Special Requirements

Employer requires all-newly hired employees to take and pass an employer-paid background check. All background checks are conducted uniformly after an initial job offer has been extended and accepted by the new hired due to responsibility of managing expensive tools/equipment/vehicles. Worker must have and maintain a valid driver's license: Class A CDL or equivalent. Must comply with all applicable requirements of USDOT regulations. Must pass a post-employment road test to gauge driving ability. Employer uniformly conducts a post-employment DOT physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle records check at no cost to the worker. All new employees are subject to a post-hire, random, and post-accident employer-paid drug testing. Any employee who declines to take or fails this drug test will be terminated and paid for all hours worked, if any. Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to meet all requirements of Employer's insurance provider.
