Job description

Workers must be able to perform all tasks and activities under SOC Code 45-2092, including but not limited to: performing manual agricultural tasks, including tasks associated with the harvesting of onions; transporting necessary equipment (primarily personal protective equipment (PPE)) to other farmworkers; monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment to detect or assess problems; advising others on farming operations or regulations; maintaining operational records; and any and all other duties within the scope of SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned. All tasks herein constitute one job. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Highly repetitive motions to reach crops at ground level are required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry weight up to 50 pounds is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate tools, equipment, and crops is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.

Special Requirements

Workers must have 30 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Workers may be offered the opportunity to work more than the hours and/or days in this schedule. Work assignments, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are at the sole discretion of the employer. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in Addendum C. Workers must comply with the employers personnel policies, including but not limited to its policies regarding safety, harassment/discrimination, abusive conduct, and drugs and alcohol. Workers must follow all reasonable and lawful instructions and directives. The employer reserves all management prerogatives not inconsistent with applicable law.
