Job description

Servicing and Maintaining Agricultural equipment (Semis, 10-Wheelers, Tractors, etc.) for a successful family farming operation.
Essential Functions
• Perform basic to complex agricultural equipment diagnostics.
• Perform basic to complex agricultural equipment repairs.
• Experience with Automatic transmissions is a plus
• Experience with clutch repair and adjustment
• Maintain current product knowledge of agriculture equipment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Good communication skills
• Complete detailed maintenance and service records accurately as work is completed
• Strong work ethic willing to work long days and consecutive days as needed
• Make decisions quickly and accurately for the job at hand
• Must be a team player
• Able to work unsupervised for long periods of time
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
• Valid Driver’s License
• DOT Medical Card
• State Issued Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) desired-not required
• 3+ years related experience with large diesel engines
• Air Brakes Certification desired
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated locations
• Ability to work in tight confined spaces
• Able to lift 50 pounds frequently 75 to 100 pounds occasionally

Special Requirements

The job opportunity requires 12 months of agricultural equipment maintenance. The job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. The job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
Work assignments will be made by and at the sole discretion of the employer conditional on unforeseen circumstances such as weather or other unscheduled or unexpected interruptions in regular work for this position. As a result, Workers may be assigned to a variety of duties in any given day and/or to different duties on different days. Workers must perform the assigned work and may not perform duties not included herein or work in areas not assigned without the specific authorization of the supervisory staff. Workers will be expected to perform any of the listed duties as assigned by the Workers supervisor.
