Job description
Duties assigned under this order will be primarily those duties of Ag Equipment Operator, Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Code 45-2091.
Hop harvest takes place from August to September and runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Operating both a day shift and a night shift, workers will be asked to work one or the other. Night shift hours may include hours between 6:30 pm to 6:30 am.
The primary job duty for this application is operating a hop dryer. Workers will be exposed to high temperatures in the dryer building and be able to navigate dryer floors while operating drying equipment.
Workers must possess requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat the harvest process throughout the workday. Workers must work at a sustained, vigorous pace and make bona-fide efforts to work efficiently and consistently that are reasonable under the climatic and all other working conditions.
Special Requirements
The employer agrees that it will offer, advertise in its recruitment, and pay at least the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR), the prevailing hourly wage rate, the prevailing piece rate, the agreed-upon collective bargaining rate, or the Federal or State minimum wage rate, in effect at the time work is performed, whichever is highest. If the worker is paid by the hour, the employer must pay this rate for every hour or portion thereof worked during a pay period. If the offered wage(s) disclosed in this clearance order is/are based on commission, bonuses, or other incentives, the employer guarantees the wage paid on a weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly basis will equal or exceed the AEWR, prevailing hourly wage or piece rate, the legal Federal or State minimum wage, or any agreed-upon collective bargaining rate, whichever is highest.
