Job description

Perform a variety of tasks associated with either line cook or dining room services in fine dining establishment. Prepare food accurately and efficiently from menu in coordination with all other line cooks to exact specifications of the restaurant. Working from a daily prep list: prep vegetables and stocks/soups/sauces from scratch; portion meat and seafood/fish; read and prepare orders in timely manner working grill and saute lines. Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies. Clean station equipment, sanitize primary surfaces, put away all bowls, pots, pans and utensils used in food preparation, and store or dispose of leftover food as appropriate. Perform food safety and sanitation procedures. Assist in removing trash from kitchen to proper outdoor receptacles. Assist with receiving food deliveries. Rotate products to ensure safe and fresh ingredients. Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Roll silverware, set up food stations, or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties .Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wine. Serve specialty dishes and beverages at tables as required. Remove dishes and glasses from tables, and take them to kitchen for cleaning. Clean tables after patrons have finished dining.

Special Requirements

Requires six months of resort hotel or fine dining kitchen experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs. when necessary. Must be able to read/follow a recipe in English. Standard workweek is Tuesday-Saturday, 5 days per week. Post-hire drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers upon suspicion of use. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions.
