Job description

Crops worked with: onions, spinach, and spring mix lettuce. Workers will: load and unload crops or containers of materials; load agricultural products for shipment; drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities; haul crops or supplies; operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production; observe and service farm equipment; document/record information related to the work; and any and all other tasks or activities within the scope of SOC Code 45-2091. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Frequent turning, pushing, and pulling is required. Operating agricultural vehicles or equipment for substantial time periods (up to a full shift) is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate agricultural equipment is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required. Workers must possess a basic California C driver's license (or equivalent from another jurisdiction). The licensure requirement is an occupational credential that applicants must possess upon hire. It is the responsibility of the interested applicant to possess the credential(s) needed for the job for which they are applying. The employer does not assume responsibility to bear the cost.

Special Requirements

Workers must have 60 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Workers may be offered the opportunity to work more than the hours and/or days in this schedule. Work assignments, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are at the sole discretion of the employer. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in Addendum C. Workers must comply with the employers personnel policies, including but not limited to its policies regarding safety, harassment/discrimination, abusive conduct, and drugs and alcohol. Workers must follow all reasonable and lawful instructions and directives. The employer reserves all management prerogatives not inconsistent with applicable law.
