Job description
Sommelier will be responsible for greeting customers, wine inventory, stocking wine, taking and placing guest wine orders, proper wine service, polishing glassware, and providing necessary training to the service staff regarding wine knowledge and basics such as types of grapes, how the climate and geographic regions affect the taste, pairings with food, wine pouring service. This is not a supervisory role, but a support role in assisting the service team and recommending wines to guest members.
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 10:00am - 6:00pm, 12:00pm - 8:00pm, or 4:00pm - 12:00am. Shift hours may vary.

Special Requirements
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least One (1) year of service experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. Sommelier certification and previous training in liquor and wine is preferred but not required.
