Job description
Barrel receipt and barrel inspections. Properly store, clean, and sanitize barrels. Maintain proper temperature control on aging/fermenting wines. Monitor oxygen levels. Manage Juice/wine movement of barrels. Providing proper additions to barrels. Performing fining process to wines pre-filtration. Cross-flow filtration operation and maintenance. Cleaning and sanitizing cross-flow. Assist with receipt of grapes and documentation for receipts. Weighing and inspection of grapes. Meticulously sorting grapes in the process of de-stemming. Competently move must, juice and wine. Ability to sanitize and clean pumps. Operation and maintenance of wine press (properly load, operate and empty). Cleaning and sanitizing wine press. Ability to operate forklift. Properly disposing of pomace in a safe and correct manner. Tank maintenance, cleaning and sanitizing. Assist in the fermentation process (adding supplements, maintaining correct temperatures, punch downs and pumpovers etc.).
