Job description

This temporary Peruvian Cuisine Chef Assistant position requires a combination of culinary expertise with a focus on developing and enhancing the skills of the kitchen staff. The individual should be adept at teaching, culturally sensitive, and passionate about preserving and sharing the essence of Peruvian cuisine. The job skills and duties for this position are:
1)Culinary Expertise:
-Demonstrate mastery of Peruvian culinary techniques and traditional dishes.
-Execute high-quality Peruvian recipes to set a standard for kitchen staff.
2)Training Program Development and Recipe Standardization:
-Assist the Chef in designing and implementing a comprehensive Peruvian cuisine training program for kitchen staff.
-Provide practical, hands-on training sessions to impart essential cooking skills to kitchen staff.
-Ensure kitchen staff understand and can replicate authentic Peruvian flavors.
-Standardize Peruvian recipes to maintain consistency across the culinary team.
-Train kitchen staff on precise measurements, cooking times, and presentation.
3)Quality Control:
-Assist the Chef in establishing and enforcing quality control measures in foodpreparation.
-Conduct regular tastings and evaluations to maintain high culinary standards.
-Monitor the progress of kitchen staff during training sessions and during regularrestaurant service.
-Provide constructive feedback and support to address areas of improvement.
-Report kitchen staff’s progress to the Chef and coordinate improvement actions.
4)Cooking Assistance:
-Assist the Chef and the kitchen staff in preparing meals during regular restaurant service.
-Prepare ingredients in right quality and quantity to maintain efficiency during cooking.
-Assist the Chef and the kitchen staff in plating and presentation to meet proper standards.
-Assist the Chef and restaurant manager in managing kitchen inventory.
5)Cross-Cultural Collaboration:
-Facilitate cross-cultural exchange with the Chef and kitchen staff.
-Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment.
-Integrate cultural nuances into the training to preserve the authenticity of Peruvian cuisine.
-Foster an appreciation for Peruvian culinary traditions and practices.
