Job description
Serves and attends to customers at club house, restaurant and other resort outlets. Ensures accurate and efficient production of beverages. Takes orders in person and over the phone. Prepares the bar area for service including: maintain chairs, bar stools, and tables in proper place, make sure the bar is stocked and ready for service. Maintain bar cleanliness and keep all bar areas organized and uncluttered. Empty trash containers. When not making drinks, the bartender circulates around the bar area cleaning, offering drinks and helping service staff. During special functions the bartender helps the Bar Manager with on location bar setup and provides service as needed. Completes opening/closing procedures and all posted side work. Comply with county health requirements.
The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Open 7 days a week, 5-day work schedule varies Sunday through Saturday. Shift times vary including 5am-1pm, 8am–4pm, 12pm-8pm, 2pm-10pm, 4pm-12am, 6pm-2am. Other 8-hour day and evening shift times possible/may be required. Workdays, hours, and shift times may vary with occupancy.
Tipped position with a basic rate of pay $12.17 per hour. Allowed tip credit applied per FLSA guidelines to meet offered wage. FSLA tip credit taken as follows: direct wage of $7.33 per hour and $4.84 tip credit per hour to make the guaranteed wage rate of $12.17 per hour. The employer guarantees the offered wage for hours worked if allowed tip credit does not make the hourly wage equal to or exceed $12.17 per hour. All tips received by the tipped worker are retained by the worker except for a valid tip pooling arrangement limited to workers who customarily and regularly receive tips. The tip credit will not apply unless the worker has been notified of the employer's intention to exercise the tip credit.
Banquet Bartenders – service fee position. Basic rate of pay $12.17 per hour. Cash wage paid will be $10.00 per hour plus a percentage of the service fee for banquets. Allowed service fee credit applied per FLSA guidelines. The employer guarantees the offered wage in any given workweek when service fee compensation does not make the hourly wage equal to or exceed $12.17 per hour.
The employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure.
Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $18.26 per hour. The regular rate will be computed by adding together total earnings for the workweek from all sources, excluding tips received in excess of the tip credit, then dividing that number by the total hours worked in the workweek. If the regular rate exceeds $12.17 per hour, the employer will pay the difference between $12.17 and the regular rate during an overtime week.

Special Requirements
Must have a valid TIPS or Alcohol Awareness certification or be willing to obtain upon employment (provided by employer).
Must be at least 21 years old.
Pre-employment criminal background check required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B.
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
Must be familiar with point-of-sale systems.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. across short-medium distance.
Must be able to stand for entirety of shift while bending, stretching, and lifting.
Must be able to work a flexible 5-day schedule with varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must adhere to uniform and appearance standards at all times.
