Job description
Additional farmworkers are needed during busy months for farm and ranch work for planting, cultivating and harvesting hay, alfalfa, sudan, wheat and oat hay crops. Workers will bale, cut and haul hay from fields. Workers will check, maintain and repair water wells, irrigation, and pipelines. Repair and maintain fences, construct new roads, waterlines, farm building and cattle corrals. Workers will pump water to stock and ponds, maintain and repair farm vehicles and equipment performing basic mechanical work. Workers will feed livestock during months of husbandry and calving. Workers will operate tractors with 100+hp, skid steers and must have 1 months of previous verifiable experience in the operation of equivalent equipment and be able to drive truck to transport cattle, hay and equipment. Workers must be able to hear and see clearly as some work instructions may be given with or without line of sight/earshot. Worker is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
Special Requirements
All deductions required by law will be made from the workers paycheck. Social security, federal and state (if applicable) taxes will only be deducted from foreign H-2A workers upon written request. All workers are subject to reasonable repair cost of damage for the repair/replacement of tools and or equipment and the reasonable cost of negligent damage to lodging facilities and vehicles if worker is shown to have caused the shortage or damage by a dishonest or willful act. This may be charged to worker after damage has occurred and upon employees written authorization to make the deduction. Workers who quit or are terminated for cause prior to completing 50% of the contract will be required to reimburse the employer for the full amounts of advanced and/or reimbursed transportation and subsistence.
