Job description
We are a row crop grain farm focused on production of corn, soybeans, wheat, popcorn, and organic grains. We primarily focus on growing identity preserved crops for specific end users and markets, and require skilled team members that have a high attention to detail. We are looking for team members that are also hard working and passionate about agriculture and will work with other team members to complete seasonal goals. Tasks required include, but are not limited to, operating farm equipment, maintenance and support of farm equipment, equipment cleanouts and regular/seasonal cleaning, and maintaining the farm property and appearance. Team members will be asked to help the Operations Supervisor to achieve farm goals, efficiently and safely, by completing farm and field tasks. Must be proficient with technology, iPads (or similar devices), integrated GPS systems, in-cab controllers, and accurately document tasks with work order. Team members will also utilize farm equipment to perform daily tasks, including but not limited to tillage, cultivation, grain cart operation, roadside mowing, grain facility cleaning, equipment fueling, maintenance, and nurse/tender vehicle operation to deliver seed and fertilizer to field operators. Must also be able to communicate with Supervisor about preventive and scheduled maintenance, equipment repairs, maintenance logs, shop inventory, shop cleaning, and conduct and document inspections and associated record keeping. We offer performance-based incentives for seasonals goals, exit and return bonuses, and returning employee pay increases. Returning employees are eligible for 2% annual pay raises above stage wages that can compound up to 10%. For example, if a team member returns to our farm for the 4th year, they will be eligible for an 8% pay raise above the current year’s state minimum. Pay scale may also be increased based on experience and skills over the AEWR wage rate.
Special Requirements
Team members are required to have a regular drivers license. 3 months experience is also required. This job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, and pulling and must be able to lift 50 lbs. Employer will conduct post-hire random drug testing at employers expense to enforce a drug-free workplace policy and failing a drug test will result in termination.
