Job description

Supervise work activities of complex housekeeping personnel to ensure clean, orderly and attractive units for guests and owners. Assign duties, inspect work, provide guidance and direction, establish performance standards and monitoring the compliance of standards, investigate complaints and take corrective action regarding housekeeping services and employee issues. Send in attendance reports, responsible for accurate payroll processing, including monitoring/verifying housekeeping staff clock in and out for work hours and breaks and ensure comply with authorized hours and overtime, approval after review. Assign housekeeping staff with their duties and visually inspects rooms for completed work in units to ensure they meet established standards and instruct housekeepers to correct any deficiencies. Run overview report to forecast and schedule staff and prioritize weekly staff assignments. Ensure housekeeping operations at complex are efficiently staffed. Responsible to make recommendations for promotions, transfers, and dismissal of housekeeping staff. Ensure established procedures for housekeeping are accomplished. Ensure units are clean and inspected according to standards, by check-in time and are prepared for photos and/or occupancy. Ensure completion of all units to include workorders in software are completed. Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping services and equipment and take corrective action to avoid future complaints. Ensure the quality inspection program is effectively and consistently maintained. Maintain and take inventory of linen and supplies and submit orders for supplies, equipment and mattress pads and blankets on due dates. Ensure storage closets, linen rooms and offices are kept clean, organized and meet standards. Conduct on-going in-service training to explain policies and procedures and demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment. Conduct weekly safety meetings and forward meeting attendance to Operations Managers. Conduct monthly counseling sessions. Make recommendations for improvement of service to ensure more efficient operation of department operations. Provide training as needed. Push and pull laundry linen carts as needed. Attend departmental meetings and maintain open lines of communication with the Service desk and owners and ensuring diligent follow-up.

The employer will offer 40 hours per week. Open 7 days a week, 5-day schedule varies Sunday through Saturday. Normal shifts: 8am-4:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm, 4pm-12:30am. Shift includes 30 minutes unpaid break time. Workdays, hours, and shift times may vary with occupancy, weather and events.

Basic wage rate of pay: $921.20/week. This is a salaried position. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure.

This is an overtime exempt position under 29 C.F.R. § 541.201

Worker is responsible for their own daily transportation to and from the worksites.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop, kneel, and squat.
Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays as required.
Must be able to work in an environment that includes exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, and various cleaning products.
