Job description
This application encompasses harvest of apples, pears, as well as thinning, pruning, training and other
orchard labor. The worker will perform duties on a motorized platform, from the ground and/ or utilizing a
ladder. The worker must possess the ability to pick-up and handle a 10 – 12 ft. orchard ladder weighing up to
60 lbs. All other duties assigned under this order will be both those duties of Agricultural Equipment Operator
and Farm Worker and Laborer Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics
Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Codes 45-2091 and 45-2092.
Workers who possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including being insurable, and holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver’s license or doctor’s certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise. Insurable means the driver must not have a license that has been revoked or a license restricted by a court for a driving offense and that is valid under the above Washington State rules and be accepted by the employer’s insurance carrier.
Special Requirements
3 months general farm labor experience. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid post-accident drug testing. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
